WASTE

Helena Calvo Peréz

Food waste warrior

Impact Projects Manager, Too Good to Go

“Looking the other way when more than a third of the food produced globally is being wasted is something we cannot afford to do. Stopping food waste is a collective responsibility and taking action is urgent for people and for the planet.”

Helena Calvo is a communicator committed to social and environmental projects and since 2018 she has been fighting food waste with Too Good To Go, Spain, the largest app that connects people with thousands of food establishments with surplus food. She leads the development and launch of campaigns and projects to raise awareness about the problem of food waste and its resulting environmental impact. The aim of the project is to educate, inspire and empower people around the world so that they can take action and thus move towards a planet without food waste.
